Introducing Feed Viewer for Windows 8

Windows 8 comes with chrome-less applications capable of synchronizing their content with other devices. The new Metro-style Feed Viewer client was designed in this manner and expands its abilities. While the previous gadget-like client was designed to show headlines and actual reading was done via Internet Explorer, the Metro-style client allows you to browse news headlines with visually rich content and read articles in a layout designed for reading, without any noise. To achieve this task, we started developing an online indexing service three years ago. It runs on Windows Azure, reads RSS feeds and web pages, and thanks to its understanding of semantics, is able to detect the dominant image and article. Feed Viewer is, in fact, a semantic web browser specialized in reading news.
